Chinese Food, A Cold and Alexander Corvinus
I have been sick since Ash Wednesday. It's gross and disgusting. I truly do hope it ends soon. But, if it wasn't for my sickness I wouldn't have started this adventure. I watched Underworld Awakenings last year for the first time. I liked the movie, I didn't understand the back-story of the Lycans and Vampires. I didn't know who Alexander Corvinus was.
This isn't a photo of Alexander Corvinus (...or is it? Why is Jimmy Fallon in a photo with the first vampire?)
Somehow this week I got around to watching all four movies.
I wanted to watch "Fifty Shades of Grey" on Wednesday (3/4/15) in the theaters. I wasn't well enough. I didn't want to disrupt the movie with my coughing, let alone barfing in the theater. Instead I picked up some cough medicine, at a nearby CVS and ate Chinese food. If you want to know, I had cold ginger chicken, greasy fried rice and wor gau gee mein. The server didn't offer me chopsticks. Which served me well, because I had a much better response with a fork and spoon. The fact that I wasn't offered chopsticks still rubbed me the wrong way.
You know what I'll do I'll go home and start an Underworld podcast. Yeah, it didn't manifest that way. I came home with four discs in hand, borrowed from the library. While sitting in front of the computer I had the idea to start something. I checked to see if the website was available and bought it. I started a new email account and picked up the twitter handle. I bought "theunderworldpod.com" before realizing "@theunderworldpod" was too long for a twitter handle. I then had to buy another domain name. So, I own both domains. (updated 4/8/2015)
If you ask where this started it began with non-drowsy cough medicine, a non-offering of chopsticks and an idea.
